Epic is offering a complimentary game every day for the holiday season, and today’s selection is a cooperative game that promises loads of fun. Today, Epic is providing We Were Here Together, which is sure to bring joy to friends and family.
Created by Total Mayhem Games, We Were Here Together was launched in 2019, serving as the third installment in the series that includes We Were Here and We Were Here Too. The game continues the franchise’s focus on cooperative puzzle-solving, requiring two players to communicate and work together to navigate various challenges throughout Castle Rock.
Players use walkie-talkies to communicate, as the game sometimes separates the partners, compelling them to tackle different segments of the same puzzle while assisting each other to finish their respective parts of the level.
Players have the opportunity to claim We Were Here Together for free on the Epic Games Store for the next few hours. During this special holiday event, Epic Games keeps future free game announcements under wraps until they are officially released. The next surprise title will be unveiled and made accessible to all PC gamers at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET on December 27.
Normally, we can anticipate which game Epic will offer a week ahead of time. However, during the holiday period, Epic has opted for a more mysterious approach; the store showcases only a wrapped holiday gift image (complete with a bow) for the upcoming titles.
To date, the holiday promotion has included giveaways such as Hogwarts Legacy, Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel, Eternights, Blood West, Sorry We’re Closed, Paradise Killer, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, The Callisto Protocol and Disco Elysium – The Final Cut for PC gamers to keep. This event is scheduled to continue until December 31, with a new giveaway each day.
As always, be sure to visit our free games page and keep an eye out for upcoming titles and special offers.
