The College of the EU Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) has renewed the terms of three delegated European prosecutors in Greece for an additional five years.

It unanimously decided to extend the terms of prosecutors Popi Papandreou, Charikleia Thanos, and Dionysis Mouzakis, who will remain at the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) in Greece, each continuing to handle the cases under their responsibility.

During her visit to Greece, European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kovesi praised the work of the local office, which has been at the forefront of major investigations, including the OPEKEPE scandal and the customs-fraud case.

“Our prosecutors are Greek and they are very good, our team is excellent. We are doing our job and we will continue to do so,” she said.
