EUGENE, Ore. – Sip and Seams is bringing back its spring pop-up shopping event to Eugene with two weekends of secondhand fashion sales.
The event lets shoppers find high-quality clothing at lower prices while consignors make money from items already sitting in their closets. Organizers say it offers a way for people to save on clothing costs while earning extra cash.
Consignors can then donate unsold items at the end of the event to Hope and Safety Alliance, a local nonprofit. The model keeps items out of landfills while supporting people in need across the community.
“For many survivors, leaving an unsafe situation means starting over with very little,” said Kim Lax, executive director of Hope and Safety Alliance. “Donations like these provide not just clothing, but comfort, dignity, and a sense of stability during a difficult time.”
“We love offering an event where friends and family can take time together, shop, and support our community at the same time,” said Valerie Sharr, founder of Sip and Seams. “We also love that people can score that designer find for a great price.”
The public sale runs April 10 through 12 and April 17 through 18 at 2975 Chad Drive. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
A half-price sale happens April 19. Early entry costs $10 and runs from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., with free entry from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
