Bayside Corners invites music lovers to an uplifting “Evening of Irish Music” March 19 at 6:15 p.m. at the Bayside Grange.
Local favorites Good Company and Cécilia, featuring Canadian musicians Timi Turmel, Erin Leahy and Louis Schryer, will perform. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. for beverages and desserts.
Good Company will open with its own arrangements of Irish and Scottish jigs, reels and ballads. Multi-instrumentalist Sam McNeill brings alive Celtic tunes on traditional instruments. Other band members include Janet Finney Krull, Bob Stockwell and Patty McHaney.
Next, Cécilia will take the stage with its lively explorations of traditional Celtic and Quebecois music and skillfully arranged pieces influenced by contemporary, classical, jazz and swing styles. Cécilia recently released its debut album, “Accent.”
Purchase tickets for the concert at https://www.baysidecorners.org/tickets. Buy tickets before March 1 for a $5 discount. A $2 discount is offered to the first 25 Humboldt Folklife Society members’ ticket purchases.
