An Air Canada passenger who was aboard the plane that collided with a fire truck on the runway at LaGuardia Airport is sharing her firsthand account of the terrifying moments leading up to the crash.
Rebecca Liquori told News 12 that as the plane descended, it encountered heavy turbulence before landing roughly. She said the impact jolted passengers out of their seats as the pilot attempted to brake to avoid the collision. Officials say the crash killed the pilot and co‑pilot and left several others badly injured. Liquori described the chaos inside the cabin, saying everyone felt the jolt and heard the sudden attempt to stop the aircraft.
