Everyone’s Gaming Outlet, a tabletop gaming hub, opens in Levittown

By Alyssa Seidman

A new local game store in Nassau County is giving players of all ages a seat at the tabletop.

Everyone’s Gaming Outlet opened in early December at 2731 Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown, offering a community-driven space where people can play their favorite games, meet new people and build lasting friendships.

Owner Kevin Molduene is no stranger to the world of tabletop gaming. Over the years, he has partnered with local game store owners in Florida and New York City to host large-scale tournaments and midnight release events for popular trading card games like Magic: The Gathering — a tradition he continues today at Everyone’s Gaming Outlet.

Though a native of Washington state, Molduene spent part of his formative years in East Northport. Every Saturday, he’d head to his grandmother’s house with his stepfather, where five uncles would gather for a big Italian meal, sambuca, cigars and classic board games like backgammon, Risk and Monopoly.

“It always came with camaraderie,” Molduene recalled. “I very much believe in sitting at a table, having a conversation, and . . . a little back and forth. That camaraderie is very lacking, [but] we serve that and try to do as much of it as we can.”

Today, Everyone’s Gaming Outlet hosts pick-up games, leagues and tabletop events seven days a week. The store sells trading card packs for Magic, Pokémon, One Piece, Lorcana and Riftbound, along with Warhammer figure-building kits, board games and gaming accessories.

It is also the only local game store in Nassau County that sells HitPoint, a tabletop game developed in Nassau that combines “the best of Dungeons & Dragons dice rolling and trading card games,” Molduene said.

Customers participate in a few rounds of Magic: The Gathering, a trading card game, during a release party at Everyone’s Gaming Outlet in Levittown on Jan. 16.

Customers can enroll in a membership program that offers discounts and buyback incentives on select purchases, join the store’s Discord channel, and participate in themed weekly events. Regular offerings include “Warhammer Wednesday,” “Play for Packs” on Fridays and, coming soon, “Saturday Morning Cartoons.”

“We’ll be serving bowls of cereal for breakfast, have cartoons going, and teaching [kids how to play] Pokémon as well as young persons’ Dungeons & Dragons,” Molduene said.

He added that one of the store’s tournament organizers conducts outreach with local schools and libraries to introduce younger generations to board and tabletop gaming.

As its name suggests, Everyone’s Gaming Outlet also aims to serve as an inclusive “third place” for all adults. Molduene said his goal is to cultivate a space where everyone feels comfortable stopping in, playing a game and simply being themselves.

“In this current era, being able to reach across a table and play games with people is very important,” he said. “People aren’t meeting together and having conversations anymore and realizing we’re all the same, [but] gaming can help bridge a lot of [those] gaps.”
