It was deja vu all over again for Evan Fournier this week.
The former NBA guard Fournier, who now plays for Olympiacos BC in the Greek Basket League, had an unsightly incident with a rival fan on Sunday. Olympiacos was facing Panionios BC on the road at Glyfada Indoor Hall in Athens, Greece.
During the first half of play, Fournier became incensed with an opposing fan who was sitting courtside. Apparently upset with something that the fan had said, Fournier angrily confronted him during a dead ball, pointing at him and getting into his face before being restrained by teammates.
Fournier attempted to go at the fan multiple times and needed several people to hold him back. Here is the video.

Ultimately, Fournier, who has been with Olympiacos since 2024, was ejected for the fan incident and finished with six points in his seven minutes of play off the bench. But Olympiacos would still go on to beat Panionios by a final score of 79-71.
The 33-year-old Fournier was a first-round draft pick by the Denver Nuggets back in 2012 (No. 20 overall) and also went on to play for the Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and Detroit Pistons. Fournier, a native of France, produced NBA career averages of 13.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game and last played in the league for the Pistons in 2024.
Meanwhile, the headline about Fournier confronting a rival fan during a Greek league game might sound plenty familiar. That is because Fournier also had another such incident during a game last season, getting ejected for making an obscene gesture to some fans who were sitting courtside.
