I-D Magazine announced on Tuesday it had appointed Ernesto Macias and Ch’lita Collins as global entertainment director and fashion editor at large, respectively.
Macias, based in New York, will lead talent strategy and establish and foster new relationships across fashion, entertainment and culture, to sharpen i-D’s editorial voice. Macias had previously served as entertainment editor at GQ and Architectural Digest since August 2023, where he led key initiatives including the GQ Bowl and oversaw talent for the annual “Men of the Year” issue.
Collins, who is based in London, will scout emerging talent, and style digital and print features and covers for i-D, with the goal of reaching a new generation of readers. A stylist and image consultant, she previously designed merchandise for Rosalia, and styled for Arena Homme + Magazine and musician The Dare.
Since i-D’s acquisition from Vice Media Group by Karlie Kloss’s Bedford Media in November 2023, the British magazine has been in the midst of a turnaround bid to reclaim its youth cultural authority. In September 2024, Thom Bettridge joined i-D as editor in chief and chief brand officer, and last March, i-D relaunched its print publication on a biannual basis. I-D also announced a slew of global appointments last November, including Clare Byrn as global fashion director and Marcelo Gutierrez as global beauty editor.
