Families ring in the New Year at noon at Kentucky Science Center | Community events

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Kentucky Science Center rang in the new year a little early Wednesday.

“Noon Year’s” is the Science Center’s early celebration designed especially for children and caregivers. The event started at 10 a.m. Dec. 31, and continued until 2 p.m.

Activities were centered around the science of timekeeping, with hands-on experiments, interactive exhibits, and live demonstrations happening throughout the building. That included a large-scale chemistry demonstration — and a countdown to noon.

Some people even shared their New Year’s resolutions.

The event was included with general admission.
