Getting to the end of fashion month was a stretch that felt as though it may never end—and then a show like Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel FW26 happened and life felt manageable again. This week marked the end of a big month, and it’s safe to say that it was a season filled with talking points, good and bad (like Demna’s apparently inflammatory Gucci runway debut, rage-baiting on the runway, and Jonathan Anderson’s triumphant Dior collection). As we move forward, I’ve got a series of updates round out the week, like the exits of Harris Reed from Nina Ricci and Marco De Vincenzo’s departure from Etro.
Let’s start with Reed, the British-American designer who joined Nina Ricci three years ago and announced on Wednesday that he was stepping down from the brand to focus on his namesake label. “I am leaving Nina Ricci with a heart full of gratitude and a profound appreciation for all that my time there has given me,” Reed wrote via Instagram. “My deepest thanks go to Puig and to the entire Nina Ricci team. Truly, to step into a heritage house that not only welcomed, but actively championed my imagination, has been an honor beyond words.”
In 2022, Reed joined the Puig-owned house at just 26-years old, after gaining notoriety for his avant-garde, couture designs for his eponymous brand. He presented his final collection for the brand on March 6 in Paris for Fall/Winter 2026. His Fall outing for the brand saw a “Marie Antoinette goes to Glastonbury” approach, where fur-trimmed jacquard jackets met ribbon-covered crinolines and leopard suits. Reed’s touch at Ricci felt it made sense for the brand, and now that a position is open, I’ll be curious to see who ushers in the next legacy. Nina Ricci has not announced Reed’s successor. “The House will now take the time required to define its next chapter, in line with its long-term strategy,” per the brand’s press release.

Marco De Vincenzo Exits Etro

Launchmetrics
Almost four years following Marco De Vincenzo’s Etro appointment, the creative director is exiting the house following what has now been named his final collection for Etro in Milan on February 25. Etro said this decision was “reached by mutual agreement” and “aligns with a new strategic phase for the brand.” De Vincenzo previously assumed the position of head designer of leathergoods at Fendi before heading to Etro, and this leaves another open position in fashion (the Italian brand has not named a successor) alongside the Ricci gig. It never ends!
Valentino Stages Its Fall/Winter 2026 Collection In Rome

Last night in Rome, Valentino diverted from its regular on-schedule show in Paris to hit the birthplace of the house. It has been almost two years since Alessandro Michele joined the house and debuted his first show in Rome. Upon revisiting the Italian city this season, he presented a collection that felt like a new level of restraint for the famously eccentric designer.
There were cinched waists and pleated blouses, cropped leather bombers and deep-V neck dresses that felt quintessentially Valentino, although this season Michele notably left out the house’s signature red. Instead, it was a visual tapestry of rich jewel tones and subdued neutrals that conveyed a sense of luxury and softness. There were still classic Michele touches—the costume jewelry dangling from ears and hanging from necks, the fur trimmings on bomber jackets, embroidered capes and uniquely colored tights—but it l felt as though Michele was presenting a collection of both cohesion and assuredness, balancing the codes of Valentino with a quiet evolution of silhouette, while still keeping things a little off-beat.
Bella Hadid Is Prada Beauty’s First Global Ambassador

Prada Beauty
Prada Beauty has slowly been building on their portfolio of products of late, and in line with the launch of their new offering, Prada Touch, a new blush, the Italian fashion brand has also named Bella Hadid as its first-ever Global Ambassador. The news comes following Hadid’s runway appearance at Prada’s Fall/Winter 2026 show in Milan last month, and has dropped with a model digi-esque headshot spotlighting the blush. A match made in heaven.
Gabriella Karefa-Johnson Joins Depop as Official Trends Spokesperson

Depop
Today, Depop has announced Gabriella Karefa-Johnson as its official Trends Spokesperson for 2026. The stylist, creative director and Vogue alumni acts as a defining voice in global fashion today, and is slated to lend her expertise to the platform across emerging trends and circular fashion. “Depop operates like a living fashion archive and has always been a space where personal style, culture, and community intersect,” says Karefa-Johnson in a press release. “It shows how fashion moves when it is freed from seasons, runways, and newness for its own sake, and I’m excited to step into this role as Trends Spokesperson to help frame where personal style drives the trend cycle forward.” As a leading voice of inspiration and authority within the fashion landscape, I’m looking forward to seeing how Depop incorporates Karefa-Johnson’s voice into the offering.
