The LA Fashion District Business Improvement District (BID) drew its largest audience in organizational history at its 2025 Annual Meeting on Nov. 6, held this year at The New Mart. The event spotlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration, foster economic growth and advance revitalization efforts across the 100-block district.
The Fashion District BID, a nonprofit organization funded by local property owners, provides services including public safety, maintenance, economic development support and strategic planning for the neighborhood. Its mission is to keep the district clean, safe and a competitive hub for fashion, wholesale, retail, manufacturing and creative businesses.
This year’s program emphasized the growing importance of partnerships in shaping the district’s future. Mayor Karen Bass joined the BID’s President & CEO Anthony Rodriguez for a fireside conversation centered on Downtown revitalization, policy coordination and community investment.
A panel titled “The Road Ahead for the Fashion District” featured insights from Dr. Niree Kodaverdian of Beacon Economics and Nella McOsker of the Central City Association. Speakers discussed the district’s economic outlook, policy dynamics and strategies for strengthening place-based initiatives.
Property owners, business operators, civic leaders, and agency partners turned out in strong numbers. Organizers closed the event by thanking attendees for their continued engagement and support in advancing the future of the Fashion District.
