Fashion ‘failing to tackle water impacts’

BERLIN – Fashion is still failing to grapple with the true scale and social impact of its water footprint, despite a proliferation of sustainability commitments, according to a new report from the Drip by Drip non-profit.

Entitled ‘The Drip: Voices On Water, Labor and Sustainability in the Fashion Industry’, the report brings together contributors from Bangladesh, India and Pakistan to document how water scarcity, pollution and weak governance are experienced by workers and communities in key textile regions.
