One of the largest fashion events on the West Coast is coming back to Palm Desert this week, as Diamond Wish Fashion Week El Paseo runs Friday, March 13th, through Wednesday, March 18th at The Gardens on El Paseo.
Each night features a runway show from a headlining designer, along with cocktail receptions, pop-up boutiques, live music, and chances to meet the designers in person. A portion of the proceeds from each evening goes to local nonprofits.
The week opens Friday with acclaimed designer Sergio Hudson, known for bold, tailored womenswear. Saturday brings Harbison Studio’s Charles Harbison, followed Sunday by Kevan Hall, whose designs have been worn by Michelle Obama, Viola Davis, and Celine Dion. Monday puts the spotlight on local El Paseo boutiques, and Tuesday features student designers from Istituto Marangoni Miami.
The week closes Wednesday with Coachella Valley’s own Trina Turk, presenting her Summer Soleil collection of bright colors and California-inspired prints.
After-parties follow select shows, including a Friday night event at Hotel Paseo’s Larkspur Grill and a Saturday party at Wildest Restaurant + Bar.
During the day, the Fashion Week tents are free and open to the public, with pop-up shops where visitors can try on and buy pieces straight from the runway. Tickets for evening shows are available at fashionweekelpaseo.com.
