Ten years after her debut, Feng Chen Wang brought her journey full circle at Shanghai Fashion Week with an immersive 10th anniversary runway titled “Two as One.” The presentation served as both a retrospective of her deconstructive signature and a bold step forward, officially unveiling the brand’s first complete womenswear line.
The collection builds on the “Two Forces” narrative first seen during the Fall/Winter 2026 showing in Paris. Models walked in pairs wearing mirrored looks, a visual nod to the genderless DNA that has defined the label since Wang’s time at the Royal College of Art. While the new womenswear shares the same structural language and technical craftsmanship as the men’s pieces, it introduces a distinct fluidity. Sharp, tailored suits sat alongside flowing coats crafted from soft knits and silk, embodying what the brand calls “the harmony of imperfection”. Design details like raw, unfinished edges and unique tonal washes from specific fabric treatments acted as “marks of time” across the garments.
Beyond the clothing, the show functioned as a multidisciplinary experience featuring five moving “room” installations. These included “The Changing Room” featuring dancers, a “Workshop” where artisans performed live spray-painting, and a kinetic “Movement” setup. A “Bedroom” installation titled “Life and Love” paid direct tribute to Wang’s 2015 graduate collection, and, finally, a live DJ set set the base of the showcase.
Some details you might have missed include a 3D printed bag which takes form in the structure of a tea pot, tea-dyed and pressed floral soft cottons and a Converse collaboration on foot.
