After a long year of successes and hardships in 2025, we’ve finally entered the new year of 2026 and who knows what’s waiting for us on the horizon?
As a celebration for the new year that is now upon us, several of the biggest fighting game developers have released special artwork and graphics to wish all of their fans a happy new year which we’ve compiled in this story.
In this story, we’ve gathered artwork from some of the biggest fighting game developers currently active in the space.
There’s some fresh art here from the Street Fighter, Tekken, Guilty Gear, Fatal Fury and Under Night In-Birth teams at Capcom, Bandai Namco, Arc System Works, SNK and French Bread, respectively.
We also included a New Year’s greeting from SEGA’s Virtua Fighter division, even though it isn’t exactly artwork but rather just a pleasant new year’s wish.
On top of the general artwork, there was also a special art piece from SNK’s illustrator Hinano focusing specifically on Mai Shiranui since New Year’s Day also happens to be her birthday.
