Hello Riftbounders! We have several important and exciting updates for players today relating to, among other things: an Origins common and reprints of English Origins and Proving Grounds.
News Flash! Flash News!
In our conversations about card availability frustrations for Riftbound, Flash has held a special place. Yesterday’s bans have exacerbated this issue further with the added desire by players to use Flash in their decks.
Several months ago we came up with a plan to issue a special promo printing of Flash as an exclusive LGS Play Promo that celebrates, rewards, and fosters our stores and their growing communities.
Beginning in late April, as a celebration of and support for our Riftbound Play Network stores, they will begin receiving Flash promos to be distributed to players. These cards will look identical to Flash which are already in the Rift with players except they have the Promo mark on the bottom as you can see below.

We are asking stores to distribute these Flash promos to players in a handful of ways:
-
A reward for participating in Riftbound events, such as Nexus Nights and Summoner Skirmish
-
A thank you to players who are mentors, teaching Riftbound to others
-
A participation reward for players who bring a new player to the store
-
A gift when purchasing a Riftbound product
Promos will be available while supplies last at each store. We’re trying to give stores flexibility to celebrate their community in ways which are best for them while also getting the Flash promos into players’ hands. We are also expressly asking that stores not sell these Flash promos as singles.
Origins and Proving Grounds Reprints Inbound
As an update to what we shared in January, reprints of both Origins and Proving Grounds are beginning to roll out.
-
Proving Grounds has begun to arrive in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with more arriving in the EU in April, and then the USA in May.
-
We’ve continued to release Origins boosters as waves of printings complete. The next batch will arrive following Unleashed’s launch in stores, with an even larger shipment arriving later in May.
We will also have exciting information about these restocks being available to players on the Riot Merch store soon!
As Chengran stated in our State of the Game, we intend to continue printing early Riftbound sets until the market reaches more healthy quantities. These reprints won’t be the last for these products.
