Fourth-grader to make history at Paris Fashion Week as youngest designer to debut a collection

In 2023, at just 7 years old, Max became a Guinness World Record holder for the youngest runway fashion designer. Now he’s making history again.

WASHINGTON — A fourth-grader making history at Paris Fashion Week.

Max Alexander will become the youngest designer to debut a collection during the fashion week in Paris, France. His studio has scarves, coats, jackets and more as well as a bag made out of burlap with charms you can snap on. That bag sold out in 24 hours.

The fourth-grader said his collection includes 15 dresses, with most of the items being biodegradable and recycle-sustainable. He said in an interview with CBS LA that he’s all about helping the environment.

“90% of my show is biodegradable, recyclable, sustainable, made from dead stock and surprise,” he told CBS LA. “Dead stock is leftover material not used by companies… It would have been in the landfill unless I rescued it.”

In 2023, at just 7 years old, Max became a Guinness World Record holder for the youngest runway fashion designer. He has been designing, sewing and selling garments internationally since he was 4-years-old.

“When I was four I told my parents I was a dress maker and just started sewing and got better and better,” Max told Guinness World Record in 2024.

The young designer shared a clip of his journey so far at Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday.

“Paris Fashion Week, that’s a wrap! ✨ More soon after we sleep a little! Thank you to the entire Max Alexander Paris team. 🙏🏻,” he shared on Instagram. “It takes so much support to put on a show like this and we are forever grateful.”

Paris Fashion Week is underway in the French capital and will conclude on Mar. 10.

He has nearly six million followers on Instagram.
