The well below freezing temperatures that gripped Northwest Indiana last month apparently encouraged some adults to seek a warm escape by spending a few hours at a Region casino, while others opted to just stay home under a heavy blanket.
Data released Thursday by the Indiana Gaming Commission show casino “win” — or revenue after paying successful bettors — grew slightly at two Region casinos last month while falling a bit at two others, compared to January 2025.
Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana remained the state’s top gaming destination for a 51st consecutive month with $36.2 million in January win, or nearly 19% of the $190.7 million in total statewide win.
