The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (April 1)
The highly anticipated sequel to the first Mario Bros movie, “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” is bringing in new characters like Yoshi (voiced by Donald Glover) and Princess Rosalina (Brie Larson). We’re hoping for another banger like “Peaches” from Jack Black’s Bowser too.
The Drama (April 3)
What could the drama possibly be between an attractive young couple, played by Zendaya and Robert Pattinson? We’ll find out in the movie, which has kept its plot tightly under wraps since the first teaser came out.
Thrash (April 10)
A Southern town is flooded during a hurricane, but that’ll be the least of their problems once the sharks show up in this Netflix film. The cast includes “Bridgerton’s” Phoebe Dynevor as a pregnant woman about to give birth amid the chaos.
You, Me & Tuscany (April 10)
“The Little Mermaid” star Hallie Bailey gets to live out our rom com dreams in this movie, playing a young cook who hops over to Italy and ends up in a love triangle between two hunks, one of whom is played by “Bridgerton’s” Rege-Jean Page.
Beast (April 10)
Russell Crowe co-wrote and stars in this sports drama, set in the world of MMA. Crowe plays a trainer helping a former champion (Daniel MacPherson) get back in the ring. The movie also stars Luke Hemsworth.
Lee Cronin’s The Mummy (April 17)
Not to be confused with the 1999 Brendan Fraser film (or the 1932 Boris Karloff original), “Lee Cronin’s The Mummy” is a truly terrifying take on the mummy mythos. This time, a little girl disappears for years and suddenly reappears in a sarcophagus, alive, and maybe not so well.
Michael (April 24)
The life of the iconic Michael Jackson is finally getting the bio pic treatment, covering from the time he was in The Jackson 5 to his early solo career. His nephew, Jaafar Jackson, is taking on the role of his incredibly famous uncle, with stars like Colman Domingo and Nia Long rounding out the cast as Michael’s parents, Joe and Katherine Jackson.
Over Your Dead Body (April 24)
A couple plans a weekend away at a cabin in the woods to help their relationship, only to discover they BOTH had plans to kill the other. And believe it or not, it’s a comedy, starring Jason Segel, Samara Weaving, Timothy Olyphant, and Juliette Lewis.
Apex (April 24)
Charlize Theron plays a woman determined to test herself in the Australian wilderness, but nature isn’t the only danger lurking: a creepy predator, played by Taron Egerton, hunting her through the woods. Our money’s on Charlize!
