Future Assassin’s Creed Games Will Retain Similarities To Assassin’s Creed Shadows

According to Thierry Dansereau, the Art Director of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, has shared that many of the gameplay elements and tech we saw in last year’s game will be foundations for future Assassin’s Creed titles to use.

In a recent interview with IGN, Dansereau claims working on the Assassin’s Creed games can be a challenge due to the amount of people involved in the projects but shares that much of the tech seen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be reused in future installments.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows recently celebrated its one-year anniversary and its development stage is nearing an end as the developers at Ubisoft plan to shift their focus to other Assassin’s Creed related projects such as the highly-anticipated upcoming game, Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe.

Dansereau also went on to say the tech in specific that could be reused in the future was the real-time ray tracing and their graphical engine that was previously used and could return in future installments. The tech they used laid blueprints for their upcoming games.

While development on Assassin’s Creed Shadows is nearing an end, the developers have shared that a few more surprises are on the way to end on a high-note. Ubisoft will soon be moving on to their future projects and all their focus will be on that, but they want to close out the development cycle in style with several more updates planned in the near-future.
