There’s a new gaming lounge coming to the Minneapolis-St Paul Airport. While an official date hasn’t been released, they are hiring now, and it will be coming soon.
Location Just Opened At Chicago Midway International
I found this out while I was wandering the concourses at Midway International Airport in Chicago. We were on a layover yesterday from LA to Minneapolis. It was my first time at the Midway International Airport. Every other layover I’ve experienced has been at the much busier O’Hare International Airport.
I walked by a lounge that had a bunch of TV screens, video game consoles, and a large snack section. I stood there staring for a second when an employee came up and asked me if I’d like a tour.

Gameway Gaming Lounge
The place is called Gameway. It’s the perfect spot for gamers to kill time when on a layover. They have a bar area where you can have an adult beverage and play some old-school Nintendo or Super Nintendo. They have comfy chairs throughout the lounge with screens and next-generation gaming consoles, too. You can play whatever game you want for a pretty reasonable price.
The old school games, like Nintendo and Super Nintendo, were only about $11 for an hour of play. Try spending an hour at the bar at the airport and see what your tab will be. In that sense, it’s one of the cheapest options to kill time at the airport.
Coming Soon To MSP Airport
According to Simplyflying.com, the location and plans have been set for the Minneapolis-St Paul Airport. They are now hiring, too. I was talking to the employee at the Chicago Midway Gameway location, and he mentioned it was opening soon in Minneapolis, and they have plans to expand to other busy airports in the United States. They already have lounges in Detroit, JFK, Houston, LAX, Charlotte, and Dallas airports.
