Methodology: Data is from the February 2026 Bankrate “2026 Annual Emergency Savings Report” conducted by SSRS. 1,030 US adults ages 18+ were surveyed online (n=1,000) and by telephone (n=30) during May 16-19, 2025. The study was conducted via the SSRS Opinion Panel Omnibus, which is a national, probability-based survey fielded twice per month.
