What the Niners did last week without several key offensive players was impressive, but the Bears offered little resistance. Seattle, on the other hand, has one of the best defenses in the league. The first matchup between these two was a defensive battle, and I think it’ll be a lot of the same this time around.
Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers RB: More 0.5 rush + rec touchdowns
With all that said above in mind, Christian McCaffrey is just too good to not find the end zone in this matchup given how important it is. The guy is the best running back in the league, and he has 17 touchdowns on the year to show for it. Not to mention, he is equally dangerous through the air as he is on the ground.
Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Bucs QB: More 1.5 passing TDs
The Bucs have been just woeful since the start of the season. Tampa has lost 7 of its last 8, and that lone win came over the Arizona Cardinals – one of the worst teams in the league. With that said, most of those games – especially recently – have been very close. Mayfield scored just one passing touchdown last time the Bucs played Carolina, and I think Tampa will come out with a little more juice given what’s on the line. I’m trusting a veteran to get the job done here, and if the Bucs are going to win Mayfield is going to have to have a strong game.
