DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) — Giovanni Mazza is about to celebrate his second anniversary portraying Gio Palmieri on “General Hospital.”
The 20-year-old Chicago native calls his current storyline of finding out he was adopted and who his parents are “an incredible story.”
He began playing the violin at the age of 3, and quickly showed proficiency with the stringed instrument.
At a young age, Mazza performed at numerous NBA and MLB games.
His talent with the violin led GH’s casting director to add that to the Gio character
Mazza said fans are in for a “very heartfelt” Christmas episode next week.
He recently sat down with ABC11 photojournalist and GH Insider Dearon Smith to talk about growing up in a house filled with music, his “life-changing” GH audition, and upcoming storylines in this episode of General Hospital Spotlight.
