NATIONAL SUIT: The Giorgio Armani Group is wrapping up the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics and Paralympics experience with an extra treat.
The fashion house is following up the stylish tribute to its late founder that turned into one of the highlights of the Games’ opening ceremony last month by making the green, white and red pantsuits paraded at the event available to purchase in its boutiques.

Cut from silk satin, each look comprises a single- or double-breasted jacket, a matching high-neck shirt and fluid pants. Available at the brand’s boutiques in Milan, Rome, New York and other selected stores, as well as on its e-commerce, each suit is priced 5,000 euros.

As reported, the late designer played a key role in the making of the opening ceremony, which took place at the San Siro stadium on Feb. 6. At the time of the event, the Armani company said “by virtue of the special relationship between Giorgio Armani and the world of sports, the designer had been personally involved in the design of the ceremony, contributing in the definition of its concept and ‘designing’ the entrance of the two [Italian and Olympic] flags.”
As a photo of Armani appeared on a giant screen, Italy’s flag was presented to a guard of honor and 60 models, dressed in the pantsuits that echoed the colors of the national flag. Divided into three groups, they paraded ahead of the flag bearer, Vittoria Ceretti, who wore a custom-made long white Giorgio Armani Privé gown. Incidentally, Ceretti was also tapped to front the spring 2026 Giorgio Armani campaign, photographed in the designer’s house for the first time.

The tribute was one of the highlights of the night and largely resonated on social media. Other Armani-related moments at the ceremony included internationally renowned singer-songwriter Laura Pausini, who in 2006 became the first Italian female artist to win a Grammy Award, performing the national anthem wearing an Armani Privé gown. Other artists wearing Armani ranged from Chinese pianist Lang Lang, who was accompanied by Italian mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli to actor Pierfrancesco Favino of “Rush” and “Angels and Demons” fame, who recited the poem “L’infinito” by Giacomo Leopardi. Violinist Giovanni Andrea Zanon wore an Emporio Armani look while playing a 300-year-old Stradivarius.
EA7 Emporio Armani, partner of the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation and official outfitter of the Italia Team, as well as eyewear partner of the Milano Cortina Foundation, designed the uniforms worn by the Italian delegation, which paraded last — as is the tradition for the host nation.
