As March winds down, and Spring creeps in, Greeks in Greece will be turning their clocks forward this Sunday, 29 March, marking the start of daylight saving in Greece.
In the wee hours or 3:00 am Athens time, will suddenly become 4:00 am.
Here in the Antipodes we will will go one hour back a week later to herald the start of autumn. Sunday, April 5, Australia’s clocks go back an hour as daylight saving ends, pushing the time difference with Greece out to seven hours.
Daylight saving was introduced to make better use of daylight and save energy—but for now, it’s all about adjusting to the new rhythm and enjoying those extra morning or evening rays.
