New Eurogroup President and Greek Finance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis congratulated Bulgaria on its eurozone integration as of January 1.
He said Bulgaria’s integration in the eurozone “strengthens our common currency and the shared economic foundation of the Union at a very decisive moment for Europe.”
Bulgaria joined the euro currency union on January 1, achieving a decades-old goal.
