Greece ordered PULS MRLs from Elbit on 6 April. (Elbit Systems)
The Greek Ministry of National Defence’s (MoD’s) General Directorate for Defence Investments and Armaments (GDDIA) and Elbit Systems announced on 6 April 2026 that they had signed a contract earlier that day. The agreement is for Precise and Universal Launching System (PULS) multiple rocket launchers (MRLs) for the Hellenic Armed Forces. The government-to-government agreement was signed by GDDIA General Director Major General Ioannis Bouras and Brigadier General (res) Yair Kulas. director of the International Defense Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT) at the Israel MoD, GDDIA said on its website.
In its press release, Elbit valued the order at approximately USD750 million. The contract will be implemented over four years and includes an additional 10-year period of follow-on support, according to the Israeli company.
Under the contract, Elbit will supply PULS launchers and a munition package that includes training rockets, operational precision-guided rockets of various ranges, and loitering munitions.
The launcher is adaptable to existing wheeled and tracked platforms, reducing maintenance and training costs, according to Elbit.
Elbit announced in a press release on 16 December 2025 that it had been notified that the Greek parliament and Government Council for National Security (KYSEA) had approved a budget for the PULS purchase.
GDDIA released a EUR90.5 million (nearly USD105 million) tender on 27 January 2026 for the modernisation of 111 former East German RM-70 MRLs acquired from Germany.
