
A Lenten retreat at St. John the Evangelist Church in Greece will feature presentations by Matthew Kuhner and Lisa Lickona from St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry.
Two faculty members from St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry will highlight a Lenten retreat taking place in Greece.
The retreat will take place March 22-23 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 Ridge Road West. It is being sponsored by the Rochester Catholics Northwest Parishes.
On Sunday, March 22, Lisa Lickona will speak from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Her presentation, “Encountering the Heart of Jesus,” will focus on relationship, mercy, intimacy and healing. Lickona is a professor at St. Bernard’s and a nationally recognized Catholic writer and speaker.
On Monday, March 23, Matthew Kuhner will speak from 6:30 to 8 p.m. His presentation, “Casting Fire Upon the Earth: The Radicality of the Gospel and the Mission of the Laity,” will highlight the call to love and the mission of laypeople in the church. Kuhner serves as vice president and academic dean at St. Bernard’s as well as associate professor of systematic theology.
All are welcome to this opportunity for prayer, reflection and spiritual renewal. You may attend one or both retreat sessions.
