Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Alpha Bank SA (AT:), which rose 5.34% or 0.17 points to trade at 3.26 at the close. Intralot Integrated Lottery Systems and Services SA (AT:) added 4.91% or 0.04 points to end at 0.90 and Gek Terna (AT:) was up 4.27% or 1.44 points to 35.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:), which lost 3.63% or 1.42 points to trade at 37.70 in late trade. Qualco Group SA (AT:) declined 3.11% or 0.19 points to end at 5.91 and HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings SA (AT:) shed 2.91% or 0.29 points to 9.69.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 72 to 46 and 10 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 3.70% or 170.40 to $4,439.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 9.64% or 9.47 to hit $88.76 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 9.23% or 9.82 to trade at $96.59 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 99.02.
