Greece to Close 10 Tax Apps for New Year Holiday

Greece’s tax authority, the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), announced that ten of its digital applications for tax declarations and payments will be temporarily unavailable during the New Year holiday.

The platforms will remain accessible until 11:00 PM on December 31, 2025, after which access will be suspended for a system-wide year-end update. Most services are scheduled to reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026. Exceptions include the digital application for issuing ENFIA 2026 certificates and payment confirmations, which will be available starting January 1.

Affected services include:

  • myPROPERTY: for submitting property transfer, donation, parental gift, and inheritance tax declarations.
  • Property Registry: for submitting ENFIA declarations from 2014–2025.
  • Income Tax Declarations: for initial and amended filings for individuals for tax years 2015–2024. Services for 2020–2024 will reopen January 2, while 2015–2019 filings will reopen January 12.
  • Ship Tax Declarations: for Category A and B vessels, fishing boats, tugboats, and dredgers.
  • Foreign Exchange Contribution Declarations: under law 4111/2013.
  • VAT and Corporate Tax Declarations: including special e-commerce regimes (OSS/IOSS) and withholding taxes via myAADE.
  • Income and Pension Certificates: for 2024 income, business earnings, and investment returns.
  • Payments: for settled liabilities via cards and the IRIS system through myAADE and myAADEapp.
  • Revenue Certification and Reduction Processes: through interoperability services.

AADE emphasized that these temporary suspensions are part of annual maintenance and system updates to ensure accurate processing and reporting of tax obligations. Taxpayers are advised to complete any urgent filings or payments before the deadline to avoid delays.
