The official music video for “Ferto,” the entry representing Greece at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest, was released today, Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The video is now available for streaming on ERTFLIX and the official Eurovision YouTube channel.

Directed by Jim Georgantis with visual effects by San Tierrez, the music video boasts a dynamic, modern aesthetic. Featuring rapid-fire cuts and high-octane energy, the visual narrative mirrors the song’s pulsating rhythm.

Infusing the story with both emotion and a touch of humor, the video takes viewers on a nostalgic yet futuristic journey. In a standout sequence, Akylas is seen playing a Gameboy before being digitally transported into a video game, becoming the protagonist of his own virtual world.

The story behind Greece’s Eurovision entry ‘Ferto’

The music video serves as the perfect companion to the track composed by Akylas, papatanice, and TEO.x3, with lyrics by Orfeas Nonis and Akylas.

For the creators, “Ferto” is deeply personal—an experiential tale of the journey from hardship to success. It explores the internal conflict between chasing genuine dreams and the impulse to fill emotional voids left by a deprived childhood. The song tackles themes of greed and the endless human desire for “more,” while ultimately serving as a poignant reminder that true value lies in gratitude.

It is a tribute to those who stayed loyal when there was nothing, and specifically to parents who provided love and hope despite their struggles.

Akylas is set to perform “Ferto” live on the Eurovision stage in Vienna. Greece will compete in the first half of the First Semi-Final on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
