
The unemployment rate in Greece fell to 7.7% in January 2026, down from an upwardly revised 9.8% in January 2025 and an upwardly revised 7.9% in December 2025, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said on Tuesday.
The number of unemployed people amounted to 369,146, marking a decrease of 92,711 compared with January 2025 (down 20.1%), and a decrease of 3,907 people compared with December 2025 (down 1%).
