The Greek government is set to present draft legislation aimed at restricting children’s access to social media, officials have announced.
In a statement from the office of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, it was noted that he will unveil plans to ban the use of social media by individuals under the age of 15, eKathimerini reported.
Full details of the proposal are expected to be presented later in the day during a press conference, the statement added.
The ban is scheduled to come into force on January 1, 2027, Mitsotakis said.
