Greenville Garden Club celebrates nearly 100 years with fashion show

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Greenville Garden Club is preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary with several events, including the Step Into Style fashion show Wednesday at the Poinsett Club.

The event features a fashion show, lunch and silent auction. Tickets are $60, which supports the Greenville Garden Club’s projects.

Beth Satterfield, president of the Greenville Garden Club, said the organization has made its mark in the community for almost 100 years through various activities.

The club participates in garden therapy sessions and landscaping projects. For the last two years, the club has spent time at Legacy Southpointe Senior Living. Members also landscape flower beds at Habitat for Humanity houses.

Other activities include creating arrangements for Meals on Wheels, hosting pumpkin arranging workshops and operating a picture booth.

Mariani’s Boutique is participating in the fashion show.

The club also has an Arbor Day dedication planned at the Rock Quarry Garden.

The Step Into Style fashion show is Wednesday, April 8, at the Poinsett Club.
