Hall Effect controller drops to $36 — perfect for PC gamers

There’s something undeniably fun about pink gaming gadgets, and GameSir’s Super Nova is a pretty, perfect option. Right now, it’s discounted to $36.39, making it an absolute steal for anyone who ditched Xbox for PC gaming in 2025.

I’ve used this controller for months, and it remains my go-to recommendation. It keeps the familiar Xbox feel while fixing the problems Microsoft hasn’t, such as stick drift and being rechargeable without having a premium price tag.

TL;DR

  • No stick drift
  • Charge dock included
  • Rubberized handles
  • Low latency (1000Hz polling rate)
  • Swappable faceplate
  • Two programmable back buttons

I spent weeks with the controller for my GameSir Super Nova review and have continued to use the gamepad since then. It’s proven the perfect companion as I transitioned from Xbox gaming to PC gaming.

The layout of the GameSir Super Nova will be familiar to anyone who has used an Xbox Wireless Controller. But if you want to venture away from that layout, you can swap the buttons of the accessory to a different order — such as flipping A-B and X-Y to match the Switch Pro Controller.

The GameSir Super Nova is light enough for longer gaming sessions but still feels robust. It promises long battery life, though I never needed to test that claimed 15 hours since the controller comes with a charging dock.

The front of the controller is accented with RGB lighting that aligns with more lights on the charging dock. The controller’s back has two programmable buttons, pogo pins for charging, and trigger locks for shortening how far you need to pull.

The blue version of the GameSir Super Nova is currently “on sale” for $49.99, but that’s the normal price for the controllers these days. All colors of the controller launched at $59.99 but now generally sell for just under $50.

But you don’t have to lock in to a specific color when buying the GameSir Super Nova. Faceplates are available in various colors for $9.99.

While reviewing the GameSir Super Nova, I actually forgot that its faceplate was removable at one point. The faceplate fits snugly and never wiggles around or shifts due to strong and well-placed magnets.

If you want to swap the faceplate, you can do so by hand without needing any tools, though it may be difficult if you just trimmed your fingernails.

It’s always been easy to recommend the GameSir Super Nova to gamers that want to save money or who are on a budget. The current deal that slashes the price of the controller to $36.39 makes the gamepad even easier to recommend.

Amazon Gift Card

If you’re picking up the GameSir Super Nova as a gift, you may want to pair it with an Amazon eGift Card. You can choose any amount from $5 to $2,000, so you can add enough for a swappable faceplate or a game or accessory.

You can pick the design of an Amazon eGift Card, include a personal message, and pick a specific delivery date to align with a special occasion. Amazon gift card balances do not expire.
