ATLANTA — When it comes to Christmas movies, Georgia’s favorite is the hap-hap-happiest of them all, at least according to a new poll.
Film and culture website PixlParade polled 2,000 Americans from all 50 states for their favorite holiday films. And in Georgia, “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” came out on top.
It’s not exactly a wake-up-with-your-head-sewn-to-the-carpet level surprise, as it was also the No. 1 Christmas movie for the rest of America.
According to Pixl Parade, Georgia’s top 3 worked out to:
- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
- Home Alone
- A Christmas Carol
The first two line up with the top-3 for America at large — Georgia, however, appears to have a special affinity for “A Christmas Carol,” which was only No. 9 in the wider USA list:
- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
- A Christmas Story
- Home Alone
- Elf
- The Polar Express
- Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas
- The Santa Clause
- Miracle on 34th Street
- A Christmas Carol
- Love Actually
So what do you think of the list? A real beaut, right?
