LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – There are plenty activities to keep the kids busy during Spring Break.
The Kentucky Science Center is offering day camps throughout the week. They’re open to students in pre-K through fifth grade.
Each day has its own theme from robotics to science experiments. Kids will also get to build bridges, catapults, boats and check out the Science Center’s exhibits.
“Helping them grow as individuals and helping them connect with STEAM, but promote this idea of lifelong learning and getting them excited about continuing to do science and experiments in their day-to-day lives,” Amber Sheffield, a camp manager said about the day camps.
Single-day camps continue through Friday with aftercare options, too.
There are also plenty of activities at community centers around Louisville, including in neighborhoods like Baxter, Newburg, Shawnee and south Louisville.
There are programs for students ages six to 17 happening from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday.
The Louisville Free Public Library is also helping students express their creativity on Monday.
They’re hosting a pop-up maker space for kids aged six to 12 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Shively Library on Dixie Highway.
The program gives children the chance to explore their creativity and work on problem solving skills. Materials are provided and include build-a-robot supplies, threading kits and other crafting tools.
The LFPL has more events running all week.
