Batman and Batman Returns Are On HBO Max
Michael Keaton wasn’t the first actor to play Batman on screen, but two movies brought new life to the superhero genre. Tim Burton brought his own perspective to Batman and Gotham, giving the city an Art Deco feel. Both Batman and Batman Returns are currently streaming on HBO Max.

Batman Forever and Batman and Robin Are Streaming On HBO Max
Batman Forever and Batman and Robin are somewhat controversial among Batman fans. Joel Schumacher took over for Tim Burton, while Val Kilmer replaced Michael Keaton. His first film, Batman Forever, received mixed reviews but was a commercial success, so Schumacher was brought back for the sequel.
Batman and Robin wound up being one of the worst-rated superhero movies ever, though there are some fans who argue that it’s underrated today. Both of Joel Schumacher’s Batman films are available to stream on HBO Max.
The Dark Knight Trilogy Is Streaming On HBO Max
Christopher Nolan brought his own perspective to Batman with 2005’s Batman Begins, and his realistic take on the superhero proved to be a huge success. He followed that up with The Dark Knight, a film that many consider to be the best superhero film of all time, in part because of Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker.
Nolan’s last Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, wasn’t as well-received as its predecessor, but it still received positive reviews and brought the Dark Knight trilogy to a satisfactory conclusion. Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises are all streaming on HBO Max.
The DCEU Batman Movies Are Streaming On HBO Max
After the Nolan trilogy, Warner Bros. wanted to create a cinematic universe like the MCU. Ben Affleck took over the cowl as Batman and made his first appearance in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
From there, Affleck’s Batman made a cameo in 2016’s Suicide Squad and appeared in both versions of Justice League. His last DCEU appearance was in The Flash. All of the DCEU movies are available to stream on HBO Max.
Matt Reeves’ The Batman Is Available to Stream on HBO Max
Matt Reeves was the next director to tackle Batman and cast Robert Pattinson in the leading role. His film, The Batman, focused on the hero’s role as the World’s Greatest Detective. The Batman is currently streaming on HBO Max, and The Penguin, which takes place in the same universe, can be streamed there as well.
