I recently bought one in black and can confirm it’s far warmer than my usual go-to beanie, as it wraps around the neck, leaving no gaps for the cold to sneak in. Now, do I think this look is for everyone? Probably not. But I’m absolutely going to keep wearing mine purely because it’s so cozy. Most fashion girlies are opting for a neutral coat paired with a colorful knitted hood, which I think makes more of a statement than my black one … I may just have to buy another.

Now, don’t get me wrong — us Brits love our trainers (primarily Adidas Sambas or Puma Speedcats right now), but as I found out on my icy morning the other day, that footwear choice will make you go flying across the pavement. I’ve been keeping an eye on what practical footwear people are wearing, and the clear winner is a pair of fleece-lined boots that keep your toes toasty and your footing steady.
