Log on for another installment of Science Saturday this weekend – from 11 a.m. to noon on March 21 – to learn about Long Beach Township’s Clam Cove Project, in Holgate, and why the bay islands are essential to our community. Angela Andersen, resilience project manager for the township, will lead the virtual presentation, which is free to attend.

“Angela will also provide LBT Field Station updates, including advances in shell recycling, and the Bay Island Restoration Project,” notes the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences, which hosts the Science Saturday series.

As Andersen pointed out, “We recently received an innovation in governance award for the shell and bay islands project from the New Jersey League of Municipalities.” (See related article for more information.)
