iOS 26.4 launched this week, and among its many changes, the update expands Apple Creator Studio by introducing exclusive new Freeform features.
Freeform has new features in iOS 26.4, macOS 26.4, and iPadOS 26.4 via Creator Studio

Apple Creator Studio launched earlier this year as Apple’s latest app subscription offering.
Creator Studio bundles pro apps like Pixelmator Pro, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and more, plus includes exclusive new features for Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.
At launch, Apple said that Freeform would add Creator Studio features later in the year too—and iOS 26.4 fulfills that promise.
iOS 26.4, macOS 26.4, and iPadOS 26.4 all arrived this week, and they make Apple Creator Studio an even better value by bringing several upgrades to Freeform.
New features span three categories:
- AI image creation tools
- advanced editing tools
- premium content library

You can now create new images in Freeform using OpenAI’s image models. As seen above, the available options are more powerful and give you more control than what you’d find in the Image Playground app.
Advanced editing tools include AI-driven crop suggestions and the ability to upscale low-resolution images like you do in Pixelmator Pro.
Finally, there’s a new premium content library found in the Content Hub. Like in Pages, Keynote, and Numbers, you can now access a wealth of Apple-curated photos, graphics, backgrounds, and illustrations in Freeform.

If you’re already a Freeform user, these improvements make the app an even better sandbox for your thoughts, ideas, and collaboration. And if you’re new to the app, but subscribe to Creator Studio, you have another reason to give Freeform a try.
Apple Creator Studio costs $12.99/month, but free trials are available—in some cases for up to 3 months.
