BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. — A new summer entertainment series is coming to Central New York, bringing live music, themed events, and outdoor experiences to the waterfront at Papermill Island.
Island Takeover, launching for the first time in 2026, will run from June through September, transforming Papermill Island in Baldwinsville into a seasonal destination for concerts, family‑friendly events, and community gatherings. The series is presented by Cumulus Media Syracuse, along with 95X, 93Q, and The Score 1260, and is designed to offer something happening nearly every week throughout the summer.
Island Takeover is built as an ongoing event series rather than a one‑day festival, with a rotating schedule that includes national touring concerts, local and regional performances, themed music nights, outdoor movie screenings, food vendors, and special one‑night events. Organizers say the goal is to create a casual, welcoming atmosphere that gives people a reason to return to the island again and again during the summer months.

The Island Takeover concert lineup includes performances from nationally touring artists such as Almost Monday, Joe P & The Crowe Boys with special guest Braison Cyrus, and additional national artists scheduled to be announced later in the summer.
