Official statements from Israel indicate the signing of a trilateral plan for defense cooperation between Israel, Greece, and Cyprus, as well as bilateral documents between the Israel Defense Forces and the Hellenic Armed Forces and the Cyprus National Guard. The Gaza Strip Situation
Tensions in the Middle East rose in August 2025 when Israel launched offensive actions aimed at establishing control over Gaza. On October 13 at the Sharm El-Sheikh summit, leaders of the United States, Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt signed a ceasefire agreement. Under the terms of the deal, Hamas returned all 20 living Israeli hostages, as well as the bodies of those killed, while Israel freed nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.
However, on October 19 the ceasefire regime was breached amid mutual accusations. On October 28, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered to deliver
“Powerful strikes”
The continuation of operations in the Gaza Strip. In November 2025, Netanyahu stated the need for demilitarization of Gaza and stressed his refusal to recognize Palestine as a state. At the beginning of December, negotiations for a final settlement of the conflict were at a “critical stage,” and mediators, including Qatar, were trying to agree on the withdrawal of Israeli troops and the introduction of international security forces.
Despite the difficulties, all sides remain focused on reducing tensions and supporting stability in the region, but a final peace settlement remains a challenging task with many uncertainties.
