Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke to miss remainder of 2025-26 NBA season

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Grizzlies’ front office on Tuesday, March 24, shared a medical update on three key players.

Two-time All-Star Ja Morant will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 NBA season. Morant will receive a platelet-rich plasma injection to address lingering discomfort related to a UCL sprain that has kept him sidelined for a significant portion of the season, according to a statement from the Grizzlies. He is expected to make a complete recovery before the start of next season.

Forward Brandon Clarke will “continue his rehabilitation program” after recent tests suggest that additional healing on a right calf sprain is necessary before he is cleared for “high-intensity court work,” the medical update read. He will miss the rest of the 2025-26 season, but is expected to make a full recovery before the start of next season.

Center Zach Edey underwent surgery to address ongoing discomfort in his left elbow, but is expected to make a full recovery before the start of next season.
