Jamal Murray had a monster shooting night against the Indiana Pacers Wednesday night.

Murray scored 52 points on a 19-of-25 shooting night with a career-high ten 3-pointers in the Denver Nuggets’ 135-120 rout of the Pacers.

Entering the game, Murray was averaging 24.1 points — on pace for the second-highest of his career — shooting a career-high 41.5 percent on 3s and 48.3 percent overall. This was Murray’s third regular-season 50-point game and his second of the calendar year.

The performance came just one game after Murray got hurt early in the third quarter of the Nuggets’ 121-131 loss Monday night to the Dallas Mavericks. Murray went to the locker room but returned and closed out the period, but wasn’t on the bench for the final 12 minutes of the game.

Initially, the team feared Murray had suffered a right high ankle sprain and would need to miss time, but he was in the starting lineup against the Pacers two days later.

During the 2023 postseason, Murray averaged 26.1 points and 7.1 assists to help Denver win its first NBA championship.
