Joey’s Home Movies For the Week of December 29th – George Clooney’s Broadway Version of ‘Good Night and Good Luck’ Hits Your Living Room to Close out 2025

Welcome back to my Home Movies! This week, 2025 is coming to a close, so there isn’t a ton of new releases to discuss. Still, there’s an interesting top pick here in George Clooney‘s Good Night and Good Luck: Live From Broadway. What else is hitting shelves today? Find out below…

Good Night and Good Luck: Live From Broadway

I love George Clooney’s sophomore filmmaking effort, Good Night and Good Luck. So, I was pumped when he took the show to Broadway, though a ticket was far too expensive for me to see it. However, CNN did broadcast it, and now it has come home to Blu-ray, before a streaming date next month on Netflix. Clooney playing Edward R. Murrow is something to witness, though no one can beat David Strathairn‘s Oscar nominated performance. There’s a reason the film version was nominated for so many Academy Awards. Even on the small screen/stage, as opposed to movie form, it just works so well. As our final pick of the year, Good Night and Good Luck: Live From Broadway is a classy way to turn things over to 2026.
