CHICAGO – “Kalispera Chicago!” With these words, John Koudounis, president and CEO of Calamos Investments, welcomed the audience to the major concert of renowned Greek singer Konstantinos Argyros, held Saturday night at the United Center.
“This is a historic night for the Greek Diaspora,” Koudounis continued, speaking from the stage of the home arena of the Chicago Bulls.
The Greek-American businessman then welcomed to the stage “the voice of Greece, the soul of our culture, my friend,” as he described Argyros.
It is worth noting that the concert was sold out and that Argyros, who appeared wearing a Chicago Bulls jersey, was enthusiastically applauded by about 20,000 spectators.
