Kambi has released its 2026 Tribal Sports Betting Report, offering new insights into the evolving role of sports betting across tribal gaming operations in North America. The report highlights how tribal operators are continuing to strengthen on-property sportsbook experiences while adapting to changing player expectations across retail and online channels.
“Tribal gaming continues to shape the future of regulated sports betting in the United States, driving innovation, economic development, and community impact,” said David Bretnitz, Kambi VP of Sales, Americas.
Kambi’s tribal partner network spans more than 30 properties across multiple jurisdictions, including partnerships with operators such as Mohegan, Turning Stone Enterprises, Wind Creek Hospitality, Desert Diamond Casinos, Four Winds Casinos, Prairie Band Casino & Resort, and ilani Casino Resort.
The report draws on performance and behavioral data from this network and explores how tribal operators are leveraging sportsbook technology to enhance the casino experience, strengthen engagement, and improve long-term competitiveness. It also includes operator perspectives from Mohegan and Turning Stone Enterprises.
Among the report’s key findings, Kambi’s tribal network saw the number of bets rise to more than 10 million in 2025, while margin increased from 7.1% in 2023 to 7.7% in 2024 and 10.8% in 2025. The report also points to rising engagement with Bet Builder wagering. Bet Builder accounted for 14% of pre-game bets online in 2025, up from 9% in 2022, while its share of pre-game NFL bets online reached 32%, up from 20% in 2022. Football and basketball each represented 25% of Bet Builder bets by sport in 2025.
At the retail level, the report highlights the growing role of kiosks, particularly for in-play and parlay-style wagering. In 2025, kiosks accounted for 89% of on-property bets across Kambi’s tribal network, while kiosks represented 93% of Bet Builder bets. Live betting activity also continued to increase, with the number of bets rising 76% in 2023, 52% in 2024, and 15% in 2025.
Major sporting events remained key drivers of sportsbook activity. Compared with 2024, 2025 on-property betting activity increased 28% in handle and 20% in bets for the Super Bowl, 38% in handle and 36% in bets for March Madness, and 18% in handle and 22% in bets for the NBA Playoffs.
Kambi also highlighted partner performance within its network. At Wind Creek, average monthly gross margin since partnering with Kambi in August 2025 was 14.5%, compared with 6% during the comparable period with its previous sportsbook provider, while handle increased nearly 20% over the same timeframe.
At Turning Stone Enterprises, Guy Renzi, SVP of Gaming Strategy, said, “The integration of Kambi into TS Sports was executed seamlessly, and their team’s consistent responsiveness and operational expertise have strengthened our sportsbook. We are proud to deliver the most robust and competitive sportsbook program in our market.”
The report also includes a Q&A with Max Wong, Senior Manager Operations, Digital Gaming at Mohegan, who said, “The sportsbook vertical is a key pillar of Mohegan’s long-term digital strategy,” adding that the company is focused on “creating a best-in-class omnichannel ecosystem that allows guests to move seamlessly between our retail sportsbook and online platforms.”
The 2026 Tribal Sports Betting Report is being released ahead of the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention and is intended to help tribal operators better understand how player behavior, product capabilities, and sportsbook technology are evolving across the market.
