‘Kpop Demon Hunters’ Music Team Wins Annie Award

The music team of Sony Pictures Animation’s Netflix film Kpop Demon Hunters was honored with the Annie Award in the Feature category at tonight’s 53rd Annie Awards ceremony at UCLA’s Royce Hall. Sony Pictures’ President of Music Spring Aspers, composer Marcelo Zarvos and songwriter Mark Sonnenblick accepted the award in person at the event. The other contenders in the category were Arnaud Toulon for Arco, Rob Simonsen for Elio, Mari Fukuhara for Little Amélie or the Character of Rain and Shakira, Ed Sheeran, Blake Slatkin & Michael Giacchino for Zootopia 2.

In the TV/Media category, Ramin Djawadi, Shane Eli & Jonny Pakfar won the award for their work on the sixth episode (Mixed Signals) from Pixar Animation Studios’ Disney+ series Win or Lose.
